Self-Catering Accommodation for the Nature-Lover

Enjoy a nature-based, rural holiday in Taminick near Glenrowan and the Warby Ranges in Victoria's North-East. This region is famous for world class wines and gourmet food, spectacular scenery and natural beauty, historic legends and cultural heritage, and numerous State and National Parks.

Our visitors enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Buffalo from the garden, living room and spacious verandah. The three-acre property adjoins Warby Range State Park and is close to the Taminick and Glenrowan Wineries, and the Milawa Wine and Gourmet Region.

Two acres of this country property is a native garden designed and planted by the late Jill Rossiter, a local field naturalist, amateur botanist and bird observer. Many of the garden's plants were propagated from seed collected by her on her travels to Western Australia.

Kurringai Cottage is paradise for birdwatchers. The garden and surrounds are home to a great variety of birds including parrots, robins, honeyeaters and many small bush birds. Waterbirds are attracted to the garden's dam. A gate at the rear of the property opens to the Warby Range State Park.

The house is in a peaceful, rural setting, 230 km from Melbourne 20 minutes drive to Wangaratta and 15 minutes drive to the historic town of Glenrowan where Ned Kelly made his last stand.
